Some Advanced Verses

“And have in their minds no favor from anyone for which a reward is expected in return. But only the desire to seek the face of their Lord most high.” (92:19,20).

Some Advanced Verses

We again come to our basic argument that Quran has everything for Men of all mental levels. So far we have seen what Quran has for the common man and for the intellectual man. But there also exists a third category of people who want more than this. They are looking for Spiritual satisfaction only. Their minds are far removed from this material world. They are different from a common man as well from the Intellectual. They are men who have devoted their entire lives to religion. Their intention is ONLY to seek the “Face of Allah” or be “Near to Allah.” For identification we will call these people Advanced people. I have tried to collect some verses that may be of interest to such people. The meaning of these verses are not easy to understand. These are advance spiritual matters and must be dealt with very carefully and sensitively. A novice reader or a person with bad intention can do more harm than good if these verses are not understood correctly. I have just given a widely accepted English translation (By Abdullah Yousuf Ali) of these verses. A detailed explanation or “Tafseer” is beyond the scope of our study here. The interested reader may refer to the relevant literature by our scholars and experts of Arabic language. Here I have just given a collection of the verses so that we know that Quran has these verses also. An entire lifetime may not be sufficient to grasp all their meaning. As Allah himself says in Quran in :
- 3:7 He it is who has sent to you the book. It has verses that are basic and fundamental. Their meaning is clear. They are the foundation of the book. Others are not entirely clear. But those whose hearts are absurd follow the part that is not entirely clear. Searching for disagreement, and looking for its interpretation. But no one knows its true meaning except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say, “We believe in its. The whole of it is from our Lord, and none will grasp the message except men of understanding.”
May Allah himself open the gates of knowledge for us. Now we shall look at the translation of some of these verses.

ALLAH
